Youth sports play an important role in promoting the emotional and physical development of children. We provide a fun and enriched environment, we have adopted the following code of conduct to ensure our players feel respected and encouraged.
- Positive Conduct – I (and my guests) will always demonstrate respectful behavior. This includes avoiding taunting, hostile language, profane or discriminatory remarks, negative gestures, or any form of unsportsmanlike conduct toward officials, coaches, players, or spectators.
- Respect for Officials – I will honor the authority of referees and officials. Their decisions ensure fairness and safety, and I will support their role without argument or hostility.
- Role Model Behavior – I (and my guests) will model integrity, courtesy, and sportsmanship for all players, demonstrating calm, respectful behavior regardless of game outcomes.
- Inclusive Respect – I will insist that my child treat every participant—players, coaches, officials, and spectators—with dignity and respect, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, identity, religion, ability, background , or any other characteristic.
- Ethical Play – I will teach my child to follow the rules, embrace fair play, and resolve conflicts constructively without aggression, intimidation, or violence.
- Coaching Boundaries – I will refrain from coaching my child or other players during games or practices unless I am an officially designated coach.
- Supportive Communication – I will never ridicule, yell at, or shame my child or any participant for mistakes, losses, or performance.
- Team Commitment – I will encourage my child to give their best effort, support their teammates, and contribute positively to the team environment.
- Attendance Responsibility – I agree to participate in all scheduled practices and games and will notify the coach in advance if an absence is unavoidable.
Accountability Measures – Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in:
- Suspension or removal from current Alameda Soccer Club games
- Suspension from the league
- Notification of authorities in cases involving violence or threats of harm
